The town of Hinsdale was formed in the late 1860s when the railroad route was established, and now it’s just a 20 minute train ride to downtown Chicago.  A vast majority of our work is in the Robbins Park Historic District, just south of the train tracks bordered by County Line Road, Garfield and 55th Street. The district enjoys meandering roads, which preserves the mature landscapes.  Many homes were constructed using natural materials such as brick, stone, stucco and wood. So tile and slate roofs are a perfect match for such homes. Notable architect Harold Zook had quite an influence on the area with his signature spider web designs and chevron patterns.  The historic downtown has retained its character over the years and we like to frequent Fontana’s during the lunch hour.  For more information on the area, please visit The Village of Hinsdale website.
