Ryan Restorations works a lot in The Burr Ridge Club (BRC) on S. County Line Road. We currently service over one-third of the homes in the BRC.
Here is a little history before we discuss our services. Burr Ridge, IL is in the Western suburbs of Chicago and was formerly called Harvester due to International Harvester’s large test farm established there in 1917. The world’s first all purpose farm tractor, the Farmall, was tested there.
In 1947, Harvester was incorporated as a village and then in 1961 the name was changed to Burr Ridge. Burr Ridge is conveniently located at the intersection of the Tri State Tollway and The Stevenson Expressway.
This neighborhood was a boy scout camp before being developed. This is a private community and sanctuary with 15 courts clustered around ponds, to preserve the mature landscapes. Originally, homes here were estates, so having homes clustered together was quite ahead of the times.
The BRC is akin to a Northern European village in look. Architecture is in the English Tudor and French Country styling, with all homes having slate roofs and stucco exteriors.
The same developer of the BRC also developed the private neighborhood Ambriance, also on County Line Road. The land Ambiance is built on used to be the Cook County prison farm (Bridewell Farm ) Circa 1917.
The top picture shows a chimney with new copper flashings being installed. The original flashings were only 40 years old and had failed.
This picture shows a new copper valley being installed. Part of the work included installing an ice dam protection membrane on the lower 6′ of the roof. Ice dams are prevalent in The Burr Ridge Club and had damaged the lower portions of the roof system.

“We have only the highest praise for the copper work by Ryan Restorations. We have a flat roof over one of our rooms, covered in copper sheeting by another company. Ryan Restorations discovered numerous imperfections after we had leaking. He replaced the original roofing which is substantially better and no leaking! The work is functional and beautiful.”

“I can say Dan and his employees are very professional. They arrived when they promised and went about their work. Very satisfied with the results.”

“Ryan Restorations’ work on our slate roof has been fantastic. This is always a difficult job since the slate can be easily broken while being replaced. Ryan Restorations placed scaffolding up, added air vents where needed, replaced both slate and the plywood underlayment, added ice and water shield and replaced improper nails to our complete satisfaction! The end result is totally blending in with the original slate and new slate pieces.”

“With the passing of time and tough Midwest winters, even a slate roof requires maintenance. Glad I found Ryan Restorations – real professionals. Could not have found a better contractor.”
